In the beautiful surroundings of Krčma Janževina, in the heart of Haloz, we organize wine experiences for private companies (various celebrations, business gatherings, teambuildings, etc.). We prepare a wine tasting of S vino brand wines for you. By agreement, we also upgrade the experience with cuisine and music. We offer a well-kept space in a relaxed environment for tasting premium wines from Haloz, Prlekija and Bela krajina, as well as a complete wine experience.

Wine as life

A wine tasting with a story that presents the parallels between viticulture and life. Which wine would best describe a simple person, which would describe a persistent individual? We will find the answers through a tasting of five samples and a literary narrative. The event is interspersed with poetry interpreted by Mojca Prigl and musical accompaniment by the duo Liza & Taja.

Wine as life is suitable for closed groups, to brighten up any celebration, business meeting, team building and the like. The event can be held at our place, in Krčma Janževina, or at your chosen location.

King & queen story

Meet Prlek, who fell in love with Haloze and Gorenjka with origins in Belokrajna. Two lovers of wine culture, who are also united by love. Through a poetic story, Tilen Sedlak, the wine king of the Jerusalem-Ormoš mountains, and Maja Pečarič, the 26th wine queen of Slovenia, present two different wine-growing regions and at the same time two vineyard stories. Tasting of five samples of Styrian and Belokrajna wines. A story full of inspiration and, above all, excellent, award-winning wines with weight of taste and lightness of freshness.

Over four hundred years old, a house with a rich history opens up thousands of stories in itself. The tour is a great opportunity for individuals, small groups or closed companies to get to know a piece of history and at the same time try the Halo magic.

Tasting in the dark

Krčma Janževina, a house of wine and cuisine with a rich, more than 400-year history, is located in a relaxing environment in the middle of the Haloz wine-growing region. The generations that lived in this area in the past lived on wine, fruit and other fruits of nature. The house itself, more specifically its eastern part, belonged to the Ptujska gora monastery - Mary's sanctuary for almost its entire history. In the second half of the 19th century, the house was expanded to the west and given its present appearance. The Mlakar family bought the house ten years ago and turned it into an inn based on the theme of the golden age of the Haloze wine region (1840-1945). Krčma Janževina is thus probably the first completely themed restaurant in Slovenia, which is reflected in the story, ambience, music, clothing of the staff and, of course, the cuisine. Culinary delights, called "Walk through the tastes of our ancestors", are adapted to the 21st century and represent a unique experience that visitors can only experience with prior reservation.

In 2024, the story took on a new dimension when Tilen Sedlak and Maja Pečarič (S Wine) took over management. In addition to culinary pleasures, the offer also includes various wine experiences for individuals and groups, such as tasting in the dark, wine tastings with a story, guided tours, banquets and more.
